What is the connection between hormones&balance disorder?
Our balance system is called the vestibular system. The part of our inner ear that deals with balance is called the labyrinth. The labyrinth works with the skeletal system and eyes to interpret signals from our surroundings in order help our bodies maintain normal balance. Many things can disrupt our balance system; some temporarily and others permanently.HormonesMany women feel unbalanced or dizzy before or during menstruation as well as during perimenopause and menopause which can be the result of the lack of balance between progesterone and estrogen in the body. The dizziness is temporary and can be eliminated when the hormonal balance is rectified.Balance DisordersBalance disorders can be difficult to diagnose as there may be many causes including: stroke, infection, a change in blood pressure, medication or head injury.
