What is the Conflict of Interest Management Subcommittee (COIMS)?
The COIMS is a subcommittee established by the IRC to review those Investigators with complex financial relationships that need closer monitoring. It is comprised of a panel of faculty members from disciplines across the campus and meet monthly with an investigator to review documentation related to the project and discuss the progress of the research throughout the funding period of a specific project and provide reports of such reviews to the IRC.
