What is the Configuration Port (CFG) for?

0

The Configuration Port (CFG) is used to allow direct communications between the cellular modem sub-system and an external terminal emulation program (such as HyperTerm). The CFG port is used to initially configure and activate the cellular modem on your cellular data providers network. Once your LAN-Cell is activated, you will not normally need to access the CFG port, however, you may be instructed to send debug or upgrade commands to the modem by Proxicast Technical Support if the need arises.
