What is the Confidential Information Form (CIF)?
The CIF is a form required by a new court rule (UTCR 2.130) to keep items of “confidential personal information” (see below) out of family law case documents filed in court. The purpose is to give the court the information it needs for the case, but to keep certain items of information out of any section of the court file that is publicly available. The CIF with your confidential personal information is also not available for public view.
