What is the conference policy regarding parsonage deposit?

0

Conference rules state that pastors moving into parsonages are required to pay a $150 security cleaning deposit to the church trustees. The deposit is to be returned to the pastor if the parsonage is left in satisfactory condition upon moveout. (See page 317 of 2004 conference journal.) The rules state that the new pastor and a church trustee “shall inspect the parsonage and jointly verify in writing as to its cleanliness and compliance with conference standards, noting in specific any exceptions found.” The church trustees will need to do a walk-through inspection with both the outgoing pastor and the incoming pastor, using separate forms for each. Don’t forget to refund the security deposit if there are no move-out inspection issues. The cleaning check sheet and the condition/damage worksheet can be found in the forms section. They need to be filled out and signed by both the pastor and a church trustee. Please also read the question and answer about the conference policy concerning
