For performers: White shirt/blouse, black pants or long skirts, black socks, black shoes. – NOTE: Conductors have final discretion on any concert dress that differs from this basic concert dress code. – OPTIONAL: black ties, black jackets. They will look really good onstage, though. For audiences: “dress clothes”, unless otherwise announced in advance. (Visitors are of course immune from dress codes.) NYSMF is filled with top professional musicians striving to provide you as high a musical experience as possible. Please give them the respect and honor of at least dressing nicely.
