The Ph.D. advancement committee is a five member committee of senate faculty consisting of the following: Your advisor as chair; Two additional faculty from your department (the majority of the committee MUST be from your department); One additional Bren School faculty either from your department or from any other Bren School department; A non-Bren School faculty member from UCI (this outside member may NOT have a joint appointment with the Bren School).
