What is the composition of the BakFlip Tonneau Cover?
BakFlip covers are made from heavy duty laminated sandwich panels. These panels are layered with ABS sheets on either side of a core made from EPS, essentially making the panels extremely strong, yet lightweight. The panels are also insulated making them noise resistant and allowing the truck bed to be cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. The EPS (closed cell foam) core is completely weather resistant and cannot leak or allow any moisture to penetrate the panels. The ABS is UV protected and impervious to harmful sun rays, acids, fertilizers, chemicals, gasoline etc.
