What is the composition of REMIs thirteen consumption categories?
During modeling, you may wish to shock consumption of a particular good or service but may not know the category to which it belongs. The 13 consumption categories in Policy Insight are based on the Personal Consumption Expenditure (PCE) categories reported in the National Income and Product Accounts. The baseline US data in the model are derived from BEA estimates compiled from a variety of sources. To determine which specific goods and services are contained in each category, please consult this document.
