What is the component found on top tray of our Bosch dishwasher.?

We have a Bosch dishwasher SGS69L 12GB and have just found a plastic component on the top tray. It measures about 3.5″x1.2″, in grey plastic, with what seems to be a spring-loaded shrouded seat at one end and 4 tines and securing clip at the other. Please tell me what this is, where it came from and how I can put it back.
