What is the complaint about absentee ballots from Seminole County?
[added November 19] A lawsuit has been filed to disqualify approximately 4,700 ballots from Seminole County. The complaint alleges that the Seminole County elections supervisor’s office allowed Republican activists to fill in missing voter registration numbers on requests submitted by voters requesting absentee ballots. Section 101.62 of the Florida statutes provides that a request for an absentee ballot may be made by a voter or a member of the voter’s immediate family and that the person making the request must disclose certain information, including the registration number on the elector’s registration identification card.
