What is the Community Service Learning Center (CSLC)?
The mission of the CSLC is to prepare students to become citizens of a global society and challenge them to be committed to a life of community service as active citizens. The CSLC, in collaboration with several other areas of the university, provide various volunteer and civic engagement opportunities for GVSU students and student organizations. The CSLC offers several campus wide service events including the Non-Profit Volunteer and Internship Fair, Make A Difference Day, the Overnight Service Trip as well as a number of Blood Drives throughout the year. We encourage students to participate in one or multiple programs during their GVSU experience. In recognition of GVSU’s 50th Anniversary, President Haas is challenging Faculty, Staff and Students to perform 50 hours of service this year! The CSLC hopes to see you at the many service opportunities provided this year. Check out the links on the left for information about the programs, resources, recognition, our staff, and more! OR – S
