It’s for employees who are not eligible for employer-sponsored health benefits. It meets the state’s Section 125 Plan requirement for employers of eleven or more full-time-equivalent employees.The Voluntary Plan provides those employees with tax-free savings on the monthly premium for any of the Health Connector’s Commonwealth Choice plans. Employers save on FICA.Employees choose from one of the health insurance plans approved for sale through the Health Connector. We let the employer know how much that plan will cost each month.The Voluntary Plan does not include an employer contribution. It’s employee-pay-all.
