What is the commonality in the CBLT and COLT reports?
If you decide to run a COLT or CBLT Report you must choose the commonality. The commonality defines how many other domains or urls (depending on the settings) should link to the same target you specify (for CBLT) or link out of the same domain (for COLT). The higher the commonality, the less results you get, simply because it’s less likely that other websites link to 7 same urls your specify, than 2. An example: • If you analyze 4 different URLs for one keyword and choose a commonality of 2 the likelihood of getting results is higher (but still not probably in ALL cases – we’ve seen top10 results with NO common backlinks at all for instance, depending on the language, country, topic). • If you analyze 10 different URLs for one keyword and choose a commonality of 4 the likelihood of getting results is very low.
