Football, as with any important endeavor, requires a high level of commitment. The coaches want the team to succeed and for each player to experience success and build confidence in their abilities and their place on the team. To make this happen, every player must make a commitment to attending all team practices and games, participating with a positive attitude and full effort and focus. There is an established learning progression that all of our players work through in practices (both over the summer and in-season) to learn safe techniques, improve their football skills and learn the team’s plays (tactics and strategies). When your child misses practices, they may miss important parts of the learning progression that will inhibit their skill development, impair their ability to fully participate, and weaken the teams chances of having success.
