What is the color temperature setting function of white balance control? When is it effective?
This function allows you to directly set the color temperature (Kelvin) or the Magenta/Green compensation in white balance setting. It is useful for photographers who would like to use their own ideas for color reproduction, using measured values from a color meter or learned values from experience. The photographer can also use the correction data from the custom white balance to fine tune the settings to easily achieve the desired level of adjustment. Please note that some light sources, such as fluorescent, sodium, or mercury lamps, have very intense sections of luminous intensity in their light wavelengths (color). Either use the custom white balance, or adjust the color temperature and CC filter value settings while taking trial shots to check for optimum results. Setting range Color temperature can be set between 2500 and 9900K in 100 K increments. Magenta/Green compensation can be set in the range of G9-0-M9 in 19 steps.
