What is the Coldest temperature any part of Wisconsin has had in recent history?
The coldest temperature ever officially recorded in Wisconsin was -55° F at Couderay on Feb. 4, 1996. From what I read, there is no practical way to tell if it was the coldest day ever in Wisconsin. On a side note, Couderay is also supposed to be the location of Al Capone’s Hideout. Sources: http://www.usatoday.com/weather/resources/askjack/archives-weather-extremes.
