What is the coefficient of static friction?
A garden roller is pulled at constant speed along horizontal ground by applying a force of 200 N acting at an angle of 50.0° with respect to the horizontal(gardner is pulling at a right angle) The roller mechanism now jams so that the roller can no longer rotate on its axle. The gardener now finds that the same pulling force (in the same direction) is just insufficient to cause the roller to slide over the grass. If the mass of the roller is 50.0 kg, calculate the coefficient of static friction between the surface of the roller and the grass.
