What is the COCD?

0

A. The Council of Center Directors (COCD) is comprised of all University-Wide Interdisciplinary Research Center (UWIRC) Directors. It is heavily invested in the UAB research infrastructure, as its Centers provide many pilot opportunities, house the majority of the core research laboratories, introduce new technologies, and are supported by significant intramural and extramural funding. It serves as an Internal Advisory Committee to the CCTS, providing advice and recommendations regarding optimal utilization of CCTS resources for the Pilot Grant Program and for the CCTS Cores. The COCD also facilitates communication and coordination between the CCTS and the UWIRCs.
