What is the Co-ordinated Admissions Scheme?
Lancashire has a Co-ordinated Admissions Scheme which applies to families seeking secondary school places for September 2007. The Co-ordinated Admissions Scheme makes applying for a secondary school place more transparent for all parties involved in the admission process. As Co-ordination is a legal requirement, all 85 Lancashire Secondary Schools are included within the arrangements. This includes Voluntary Aided (Church) Schools and Foundation (Grammar) Schools. The aim of the Co-ordinated Scheme is to provide all parents with an offer of a single Lancashire Secondary School place on the same day.
