The Rescue CD is for recovering Windows backups, is not required when using a Mac. The CMS Rescue CD can be used to recover an entire system backup in the event the primary hard drive has experienced data corruption, or a collapsed Windows operating system. If your primary drive is corrupted, insert the Rescue CD and boot up from the rescue CD, the CD contains a unix file management utility that will locate your externally connected hard drive then perform a full system restore. You should allow 2 to 3 hours for a system restore to be completed.
