What is the CMS PGP demonstration project?
CMS stands for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. PGP stands for Physician Group Practice, a type of health care organization where several physicians and health care providers practice health care as a group. Marshfield Clinic is a Physician Group Practice, and is one of 10 health care facilities chosen to participate in this project. The goal of the CMS PGP Demonstration Project is to find ways to provide better care to patients while reducing health care costs.
