What is the clubs history?
CFCA was founded in 1973 and celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2003 in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the Corvette. CFCA has been a member of the National Council of Corvette Clubs (NCCC) since 1973 and is one of the largest NCCC-sanctioned clubs in the Florida Region. Members may learn from others who have “been there, done that” with their Corvettes and discover how to best maintain, care for, and improve their vehicles. CFCA offers a host of activities you may participate in as well as NCCCs sanctioned competition program to earn NCCC points towards awards (click here to learn more about CFCA’s relationship with NCCC). But we are first and foremost a social organization geared towards enjoying each other’s company and having FUN with our very special cars.
The Treasure Coast Pirates were founded in 1992 in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Located on the East coast about 130 miles north of Miami, the club draws members from the surrounding cities of Vero Beach, Fort Pierce, Port St. Lucie, Jensen Beach, and Stuart. The club originally competed as a “B side squad for the Palm Beach Rugby Club from 1992-93. The Pirates were then accepted into the Florida Rugby Union as a division II men’s club. Today we compete Div. III Rugby South Club, as well as a Division II Florida Club.
