What is the clothing attire for a college graduation?
….This means not super fancy, but not jeans and a t-shirt or that mini skirt that you’ve been dying to put on. I would recommend wearing a mid-length dress and nice sandles. Simple jewelry, such as a silver chain and small earrings, would compliment your outfit and not draw attention. When my sister graduated from college, we wore our “Sunday best” and we fit right in.
For the graduate – it is probably better to dress up. A male graduate should wear a button down long-sleved shirt with a tie and slacks with close-toed dress shoes. A female should wear a nice dress with low heels or wedges to avoid tripping.
For the attendees, business casual is appropriate. Graduation is an important event and should be treated as such.
