What is the cloth width?
The cloth width is the width of the area you want the actual cloth of the roll shade to cover. For an inside mount roll shade, it is important to remember that the cloth width must always be less than the width of the window opening. You must allow enough room on either side of the cloth to accommodate the shade hardware, such as brackets or cassette. The hardware always extends past the cloth. The additional space on either side also allows the shade to be raised and lowered smoothly without rubbing against the sides of the window opening.
