At present Humalog / lispro (rapidly-acting insulin) is not catered for in the AIDA v4 model / simulation engine. However if someone wishes to approximate a Humalog / lispro regimen it would be necessary to give the simulator an injection of regular (Actrapid-like) insulin 15-30 minutes earlier than usual. This will lead to an earlier peak – although it will not actually recreate the more rapid rise and fall which is seen with preparations like Humalog / lispro.
