What is the Clips/TV Spots section all about?
Beside the actual teasers and trailers that studios are presenting in movie theaters as forms of film promotion, the use of ‘clips’ featured on the Internet (generally on the films’ respective official websites) has been gaining popularity over the past few years. Most clips are usually between 1-2 minutes and are essentially small scenes from the upcoming movie. Some studios have even started featuring the first 10 minutes of their movies online, in the form of early promotion. A ‘TV spot’ is usually no more than 30 seconds, featured on television during the commercials and generally a shorter, more succinct, version of the film’s full-blown trailer.
