All CLA students pursuing BA, BFA in Art, or BIS degrees must satisfy the second language requirement. To satisfy this requirement, students must either complete a fourth semester college language course of at least 4 semester credits with a grade of at least C- or S or better, or pass the Language Proficiency Exam (LPE), which tests reading, listening, writing, and speaking skills at the fourth semester level.
