What is the Civil Engineering Foundation?
The Civil Engineering Foundation commenced in 1968 with the aim of bringing together members of the civil engineering industry to make available their practicing advice towards education of civil engineers and to provide funds beyond those from Government sources for the assistance in postgraduate study. What are the objectives of the Civil Engineering Foundation? The primary objective of the Foundation is to assist the Senate of the University of Sydney and the Vice-Chancellor on matters associated with under-graduate and post-graduate education and research in the field of civil engineering. How are the objectives achieved? The tasks of the Foundation are to provide a much needed channel for exchange of views and interaction of influences between the profession of the civil engineering industry and the School of Civil Engineering.
