What is the Citys parking policy during a snow parking ban?
When there is over 2 inches of snow, the parking ban is automatic on streets that have posted red and white snow ban signs. The City also notifies the media to relate this information to the public via print, radio and television. Some snow information can be found here. A “General” ban means no parking on main streets. An “All-City” ban means no parking on any city streets. The bans reduce the time it takes to restore normal traffic, as well as the amount of extra shoveling required for residents.
