Cordoba is a beautiful, medium-sized city (320,000 inhabitants). It is peaceful and safe, and has a lot to offer: a variety of cultural events, both traditional and modern amenities, its world-famous monuments and its warm, sunny climate. It has been declared a world heritage city by UNESCO. Cordoba is also an ideal place for a first contact with Spain and its cultural heritage. There are some interesting and beautiful walks, such as through the Jewish quarter (“La Judería”), or visiting a number Romanesque or Gothic churches dotted round the city.
