The City is undertaking a number of key initiatives to improve solid waste management services. These include: The Rethink Garbage education and community outreach campaign was launched in the summer of 2006 to increase blue and black box materials collected. Piloting a Yellow Bag program that offers small businesses comprehensive waste disposal, including recycling. This program should increase small business waste diversion.
