Evolution (something which has significantly more facts to back it) in science classes. Now this decision was likely welcomed as a victory by those who view intelligent design (basically the idea that all life that exists in the universe was created with a plan in mind by some mysterious designer which is usually interpreted as a divine being) as a real answer to where humans came from, but it sparked outrage from many people. One of these people was Bobby Henderson, who is the graduate student credited with rediscovering the ancient faith known today as the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. While often interpreted as a very sarcastic text on par with the Church of the Subgenius, Pastafarianism was rediscovered by Henderson in the same year as this decision.
