What is the Christmas Tree Recycling Program?
The City of Mesa offers its residents a variety of environmentally friendly ways to dispose of their Christmas trees after the holiday season. Collected trees are taken to the Salt River Landfill and chipped into nutrient rich mulch. Benefits from recycling these trees include extending the life of our landfills and reusing our natural and limited resources. **NOTE** Please remember to remove all nails, tree stands, lights and decorations. Also, snow flocked trees, wreaths and artificial trees cannot be recycled.
