What is the chlamydia screening programme?
The National Chlamydia Screening Programme offers all sexually active young people between 16 and 25 years of age an annual chlamydia test. You do not need to have any symptoms to have the test (and Chlamydia can be symptom-free). In Birmingham and Solihull the Chlamydia Screening service is called Besure. If you are under 16 years of age, you are welcome to take part, but you need to talk to one of our health professionals first.
