The Children’s Medical Security Plan (CMSP) is a basic health insurance program for uninsured Massachusetts children and teens under the age of 19 years. The CMSP is run by MassHealth. Am I eligible? To be eligible for the Children’s Medical Security Plan (CMSP), a child must be under 19 years of age and a resident of Massachusetts. The child must be uninsured for basic medical and dental care and not eligible for these services through MassHealth. There are no income or asset limits. The Children’s Medical Security Plan covers the medical and dental services most frequently used by children.
