What is the cheapest way to travel across Europe ?
Bus is the cheapest. Local buses do meet up and allow you to travel long distances at very slow speeds. Mostly for relatively little money and a lot of contact with the local people. But most people do not like to travel that way. Long distance buses, like Eurolines, are better for cheap long distance travel. Next the trains, most people traveling some distances prefer the train over the bus, as it is more comfortable and faster, it often is more expensive but not to the extreme.
