What is the cheapest way to fly to Europe? And which countries are best to visit?

The cheapest city to fly to from the US is usually London. Other cities that often have cheap flights from the US are Paris and Amsterdam. Flying into non-hub cities like Berlin or Barcelona or Prague can be a lot more expensive than the major hubs. Flights to Europe are much cheaper in winter (except Christmas-time), and much more expensive in summer (basically June – August). Most of Europe is too cold to enjoy in the winter, but there can be some very good deals in October, November, or March. Icelandair often has some very good deals that use Iceland as a stopover to reach other places in Europe.
