What is the Cheapest way for a college student to go to Amesterdam from the US?
You are not looking at the right sites. I would suggest buying your tickets from Student Universe or STA Travel. You can definetly fly for much cheaper than that if you go to these sites. These sites offer discount airfare to college students. I spent a semester abroad in the Netherlands and I bought my ticket from Student Universe and my boyfriend bought his off of STA Travel. If you don’t feel safe buying your ticket online, STA Travel has stores in New York if you would rather buy them in person. At the time, I flew in Brussels, Belgium and took a train into Amsterdam because it was way cheaper, but I just checked on the Student Universe website and it was about $474 to go to NY to Amsterdam and around the same to go into NY to Brussels. Oh yeah and another tip. You might want to consider flying in the middle of the week. It might be cheaper than compared to flying on a Friday or Saturday.
