What is the cheapest new and used airplane?
Not to be evasive about an answer, but it really does depend on what type of flying you want to do and how soon. For example, you could buy an older airplane that needs lots of restoration work for several thousand dollars. The same kind of airplane in pristine condition could cost two or three times that much. The same thing goes for new aircraft. You can buy a new powered parachute for $8,000, but you could also spend more than $200,000 for a new Cessna C-172. It all depends on the kind of flying you want to do. Speed, power and capacity all contribute to ther cost of an airplane.
