We keep a cell phone just for emergency use. I checked a lot of deals but found most were just too expensive for something we’d hardly use. I finally settled on a phone/plan through Cingular/AT&T that is a prepaid deal. To put it more simply, I paid $100 for the phone and a year’s worth of time that will cost 25 cents a minute. When the year is almost up, another year can be paid for and the leftover time is carried over. There are also refills available for 90 days – I think they’re $25, $50 and $75. The 25 cents per minutes covers all times the phone is actually in use so you’d be payi
