what is the charlotte job market of the future look like?
Charlotte is a service economy. That means high end services–catering, universities and colleges, dry cleaning, real estate, and some banking at retail levels. No real reason to have service operations there like call center or bank processing really. In the long run, those will move away. I would say that the best option would be light construction, elder-care services, auto cleaning services, and the like that cater to a retired, wealthy, suburban group that is older and has few children.
