Students in grades K-5 are allowed to charge up to $10.00 for breakfast or lunch. Students in grades 6-9 are allowed to charge $5.50 for breakfast or lunch. Senior High students are not allowed any charges. If the student already owes the maximum allowed and needs to charge again, elementary students are only offered a peanut butter and jelly or cheese sandwich meal option until the balance owed is less than $10.00. Junior High and Middle School students that exceed the charge limit will be offered a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and milk with their account being charged $1.00. Breakfast may not be charged if a student’s exceeds the maximum charge limit allowed. Parents are responsible for monitoring the amount of money in their child’s account and for paying back any charges. The Liberty Food and Nutrition Services department does not allow any students to charge ala carte items other than a milk.
