What is the charge for using the SSRN eLibrary?
There is no charge to use the SSRN eLibrary. Members of the SSRN Community can access research from some the world’s foremost research databases within the eLibrary. We have entered into a variety of relationships with the publishers to provide access to their fee-based research through the SSRN eLibrary. See Fee Based Partner Publications for a complete list. While fee-based research is a small part of the overall eLibrary, we believe that offering the broadest array of content provides the most value to our users. These databases of papers are fully searchable and access to the abstracts is free of charge. Since the publishing partners require a site subscription or fee to download a copy of their papers, SSRN is required to charge for downloading these research papers. These papers are identified by this icon: (a red dog-eared page with a “$”).
