What is the Certificate of Completion or Attendance?
This is an alternative to a high school diploma for those students who cannot earn a diploma/pass exit exam. These are generally special needs students. This has existed in Indiana for five or more years, since the inception of the ‘Gradulation Qualifying Exam’ given in grade 10. (and students have five tries to pass it). Generally parents and students know by 8th grade if the student should be working towards actual high school graduation or a certificate of attendance.
