What is the cause of US arrogance?
First of all – generalizing arrogance to all Americans is insulting and disrespectful. Secondly, there is a lot of arrogance in the USA because we have many citizens who blindly follow the sound bites and who have been convinced that they should fear and hate people who are different. When you watch Bush strut onto a carrier and arrogantly proclaim the end to a war that continues today and has caused the deaths of 4000+ US military, the deaths of 100s of thousands of innocent Iragis, and the maiming of countless others, that is arrogance. The US is arrogant as was Rome before it fell and Hitler before he took his own life. Sad but true – but please, do not blame all Americans for this arrogance.
