What is the cause of tides in the ocean.?

0

Tides are created when the forces from both the moon and the sun push and pull on the ocean’s water, causing it to rise or “fall”. When lined up in certain ways, the moon and sun have gravitational forces on the ocean water that cause the water levels to rise. When the sun and moon are gradually removed from being lined up the tide will go back down due to less and less gravitational force.
