Overuse of a tendon is the most common cause, the condition commonly occurs around the wrist and its overuse by lots of writing (writer’s cramp), typing, etc. Arthritis can sometimes cause the inflammation of the Tendons as well as the joints, however many cases do occur for no apparent reason.
