What is the cause of moral decadence?
Moral decadence occurs when wicked and greedy people in some position of power and trust (politicians, bankers, etc) put money before the general interest of honest and hard working people. This goes as far back as the Roman Empire when greediness caused it to fall. Latest example is the economic melt down of last year when few corrupt individuals caused banking institutions to collapse and very big companies (like Enron) to go bankrupt and lay off thousands of employees. Even civil strives and coup D’tats in Africa and other parts of the world are caused by moral decadence. This is when greedy generals in the army turn against their corrupt masters who they feel are not passing them sufficient portion of the pie. Again, who suffers? The ordinary people.
