What is the CaStix® Stabilization System?
The System includes a patented disposablestabilization device (U.S. Patent No.6,142,779), a high-viscosity adhesive, and a rapid-set (4-6 sec.) accelerator. The CaStix® device rigidly secures the casts together during the placement of the casts on an articulator. Following articulation, the stabilizing arm is snapped off, retaining the attachment pads on the casts. The adhesive is specifically selected to adhere to damp casts and to provide a very rigid set.
